Hi, I’m Nina!

I live in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina. I live with my husband, Henry our daughter Sterling, and our four sweet animals, Eevee, Jupiter, Moon and Mocha. I am fluent in ASL and know a little bit of German. My hobbies include thrifting, digging in the dirt for rocks, and watching a scary movie while cozy under a blanket. I am silly, curious, and always having fun. I bring that along with me to shoots and make sure that my clients are comfortable and have a great time while we work together.

My love of photography started at 14 when my best friend lent me her point and shoot camera. I had a blast using it and went through many different emails so I could practice photoshop with their free 30-day trial. I finally purchased my first DSLR camera and a full version of photoshop when I went to college. From there I took classes and researched how to replicate my favorite techniques. My love for photography never stopped growing, but for a long time it was something I only shared with family and friends.

Nina Cline Photography was born after I realized that this hobby I loved so much could be shared with others. I reached out to another photographer who inspired me, and she helped show me the ropes of photography as a business and all of its intricacies. Making that decision has opened up so many opportunities for me--it allows me to meet amazing people, connect with others more deeply, and experience so many beautiful life moments by their side. It's an honor to create art and share it with you.

My photography philosophy is rooted in authenticity. I don't believe in stiff poses or forced smiles — I believe in stepping back, watching, and capturing the moments that actually happened. For couples eloping in the mountains of NC or exchanging vows surrounded by family, this approach means your gallery will transport you back to exactly how that day felt.

I've always believed the best photographs aren't taken — they're witnessed. I'm the photographer in the corner watching your dad tear up during the first dance, or catching the quiet glance you two share right before the ceremony begins. Whether you're eloping on a misty Blue Ridge overlook or celebrating with everyone you love in a Raleigh ballroom, my job is simple: show up, pay attention, and make sure nothing gets missed. Six years of NC weddings and elopements have taught me that the real magic lives in the in-between moments — and those are exactly what I'm here for.

The in-between moments are the ones you'll want to remember most.
